Meet Dexter

Well me and Mya have been outnumbered once again.......we are the proud "parents" of a healthy sweet little puppy, who happens to be a boy! It's a crazy story really.....my kids have begged for a new dog after Dutchy died, but I said let's just take some time. Well it's been quite a bit of time and they are more than READY!!! In fact they beg me at least weekly. This weekend we were up to my great nephew (Brighton's) birthday party and in walks a cousin with this adorable Bassett Hound puppy, we all melted right there. She told us the guy had 2 more left.......as I'm trying to wave my hand at Jake with the "No No No" look I see his eyes light up. How the heck can I resist that? So Jake took Tay and Dall to meet this guy and just have a look, um yeah.....sure you're just going to look!! Ha Ha.......30 minutes later they walk in with our new puppy. I couldn't help but smile, how could I resist that adorable face (ask me now 4 days later how I'm feeling with being up every night, Grrrrr), but this too shall pass! So meet DEXTER.......our new Bassett Hound pup!

We have a graduate

We have LOVED LOVED LOVED Mya's preschool the last 2 years. Not only has she learned a ton (yay) but they do such darling arts and crafts and go on fun little field trips. I have really enjoyed her teachers and LOVED that she LOVES to go!! So wowzers, we are going to have a kindergartener, holy cow!!

I can't believe it's been 15 YEARS

This last week was me and Jake's 15 year Anniversary!! As much as I would have LOVED being in Hawaii to celebrate (I swear one of these years it WILL happen), this was the perfect little get away. We booked a room at Little America and when we got there they told us they were upgrading us for the same exact price to stay in the Grand America, uh.....can you say SWEEEEEEET!! Jake's work had a nice elegant dinner that night at the Grand America (did I mention free, cha ching! We stayed 2 nights there, went to 2 movies (What to Expect when you're Expecting and Dark Shadows, loved them both) slept in, shopped a little at Gateway Mall, ate yummy food, and just had quality one on one time. Loved that we were able to talk with NO interruptions, it was so needed!! Thanks to Meema and Ange for making this possible for us. We sure are lucky to have such great family to help out!

Merrill and Kristen came up on Sunday to eat brunch at the Little America (which by the way is the best brunch EVER!!!) and to go to a movie. We always love spending time with them! :)

Momma's Day

My absolute favorite thing ever is to get little homemade gifts from my kiddos, Mom's day never disappoints. I LOVED everything!! Tay wrote me a story and illustrated it and gave me a flower pen. Dallin drew me a picture, made me a necklace, and wrote me a letter, and Mya made this darling poem, a keychain, and a flower made out of her hands, SOOOOOO precious!!

We had our fun little "girl" luncheon that Grandma was able to join this year. We missed Angie of course:(

So after church we came home and the kids immediately said, "Mom, go get back into bed we have a surprise for you!" And oh how I love surprises. Jake helped them make me brunch in bed.......awwwww......so sweet! Here's the Murphy Family Menu they made!

Me and my babies.......Wils is asleep by my feet! :) Oh how I love these kids of mine, honestly nothing gives me greater joy than being a momma! Of course there are days that I feel like I'm going crazy, but my kids keep me grounded. My favorite thing EVER is that I know that they adore me and love me, please oh please I hope they always feel this way!!!! They love snuggles and hugs, and they LOVE to spend time with me. I am truly so blessed to have such amazing, cool, sweet, spunky, funny, and adorable kiddos. Love you my babies!

So the other day this little Princess made me laugh my head off. When I asked her a question this was her answer back to me, "I fishily (officially) a Atture (Mature) Madult (Adult)! I laughed so so hard....sure love this little babes of mine!

Wedding Festivites

Last week was such a special, crazy, and amazing time......my nephew Che'fin got married. It was so fun to be a part of all the festivities and to share with them their special day!!

WEDDING DINNER MAY 1, 2012 Here is Amazing Ange, you would not believe the time, effort, and thought that she put into this darling Wedding Dinner. It was detailed down to the last little table decor. She had a Bee Theme (at first I thought a little country bumkin) but when I understood her vision it was absolutely PERFECT!! She gave each person their own jar of honey with a honey stick and a tag that said "Life is a flower for which Love is the honey!" and then everyone got a beehive cookie with a tag that said "Carson Hive est. May 2, 2012" so darling! The food was to die for, 5 different kinds of meat to choose from (salmon, steak, ham, chicken, and shrimp), several salads, rolls, fruit and veggies, rice, and the best, a million different kinds of desserts. It was so tasty and Ange made everything!!! Wowzers! After dinner there was a cute little program where the moms, dads, brothers, and sisters all spoke and gave a special little gift about Che or Whitney. So fun to hear the cute stories.

MAY 2, 2012 Here we all are at the temple and the reception. It was absolutely beautiful, my very favorite was watching Che and Whitney look at each other and give each other a sweet little smile. Awwwww.....you can just see how in love they are!
