Oh my poor GOO!!!

I can't stop thinking about the "what if's" that could have happened the other night when Dallin got in a horrible bike wreck! For some reason Dallin has been a little hesitant with his bike lately.......but when Uncle Jer came over he was so excited to go on a little ride with him. They started going and where we live there are a lot of HILLS so of course they rode down a big one. Dallin started going, then got going a little faster and Jer said, "Dallin you've got to slow down!" then a few seconds later, "Dallin you've got to hit the brakes!" But there zoom's by Dallin on his bike going super fast and not hitting the brakes and he runs right through a stop sign that there COULD HAVE been a zooming car going by, and he ran right into a parked car, with NO helmet. Yes you heard me......NO HELMET!!! Not something we practice on a regular basis at the Murphy home, but for some reason Dallin's excitement got the best of him and he forgot. Luckily he wasn't hurt too bad except a big black eye, scraped belly, scraped knee, and a mild concussion. He kept saying he wanted to sleep, but of course we didn't let him! I don't do well when my kids are hurt and I always think of the worst possible things that could happen.....but we are SOOOO grateful that our little Dally Goo was being watched over. I'm so thankful that he wasn't hurt more!

Oh my poor little GOO!!!!

And it gets DARKER!!!!

He was excited to go to school today and show everyone his "SHINER!!"

Fist day of School

So should I be concerned when my 3rd grader wakes up on the first day of school and says, "Well, here goes 180 days of puuuuuuuuure MISERY!" Wow Tay, tell me how you really feel! Ha Ha! It's true, Tay is not one that jumps up and down for school, but after the first day he said that it won't be too bad. Dallin on the other hand is way excited for school, thank goodness. I have to admit I really like having my kids home in the summer so it will be an adjustment for me too. So here's to another school year!

Happy 71st Birthday dad! Seriously who just looks this good at 71, yah that's right, my dad!

We went to lunch with my sweetest Aunt Sue and Aunt Colleen (who I hardly ever see, so I was very excited) to celebrate my dads birthday. It was such a great time.

CANYONLANDS 2010

This year was yet another fun and adventurous year at Canyonlands! I would say the only bad part was ALLLLLLLL the CRAZY mosquito's, never has it been that bad before, but even with everyone getting eaten alive we had a great time. We found a really cool waterfall we called "Chocolate Falls", you will see in the pics why we called it that. We did a couple little hikes, played games, hung out, ate great food, and absolutely enjoyed one another's company. A scary thing that happened was Justin got lost one night, he went on a little hike at almost dark with no flashlight and couldn't find his way back, which by the way he was chastised for that! We spent 4 hours trying to find him and almost had the rangers involved until Jake, Shayla, and Dax found him at 1:30 in the morning. It was awful the things we were all imagining happening but oh how grateful we all were that he was okay. It was really scary, but I do believe that with prayers from us to find him and a prayer from Justin to be found, we were able to find him. We were all so relieved. Thanks to all the fam for making it such an amazing time. We love you all!

All the fam!!!
