Last night I was called out to do an admit (for Hospice) for a 9 year old little boy. It was honestly the hardest thing I have ever done. For some reason it hit close to home because the little boy looked a lot like my Dallin. As soon as I saw him laying there, tears just welled up in my eyes. I want my kids to know how so very grateful I am for them. How grateful I am for their health! There isn't a day that goes by that I don't thank my Father in Heaven for my beautiful little babies. How do these moms do it????? How do they watch their children suffer, words cannot describe how painful that would be!!
I helped bathe this little frail boy and all I kept thinking is I am so grateful for the knowledge I have of the Gospel and kept thinking how this strong little boy has a different plan than his mom and dad had for him. I wish there was something I could say or do that would give this mom words of comfort, that would help heal her broken heart, but hopefully just being there to help did something.
When I got home, I went straight to my kids and hugged each of them a little tighter and a little longer. There are so many frivilous things in life and things that are just things, but I am turning a new leaf for this next year. I am not going to take one single day for granted because you never know if that will be your last, or your loved ones last. I want to have a good heart! I want to show my family and friends how much I love and care for them! I want to be a better wife, momma, daughter, sister, friend, granddaughter, and aunt. There are many roles we all play in people's life's, but I know that starting today I want to make each of those roles the best that I can. Please all of you family and friends, know how truly much I love you and how thankful I am for you and the role that you play in my life and my little families life. I am truly so blessed.

Christmas with Grandma Sis

Taylor waiting to open presents!
Saturday we had our Christmas party with Grandma Sis. All the family was here and not only was it so much fun to get together for Christmas, it was VERY special because my oldest bro Daron, went through the temple that morning for his own endowment. It was AWESOME and AMAZING! If you would have asked me 10 years ago if my brother would ever go through the temple, I would have said "no way!" But that just goes to show that the spirit bore witness to him and that anything is possible. I am so grateful to my sis-in-law Angie for all that she has done for him. They are the cutest ever and she has been amazing not only for Daron, but for our family as well. Sure do love you Ang! It was such a special day, Daron, Angie, Cody, Anna, Jennifer, Brittany, Josh, Ange, Me, Mom, and Grandma were all there together. I can't even begin to describe the feeling I had when I was in the celestial room with all my family. Now we need to work on my dad and my other bro Justin and then we will all be there. Honestly, you never know!
Outside the temple, Anna and Cody (my nephew and neice (his wife), Daron, mom, Grandma, and Angie) So so AWESOME!!! We are so proud of you Daron and the cool thing is, Cody his oldest son, was his escort.

All the Loot!

Mya's favorites were her baby with the stroller and her doodle pad. Mommy's favorites were her little pig made out of old wool sweaters, we collect pigs, all her books, her cooking pots and pans that Meema gave her, and her piano that Grandma Sis gave her.

Dallin's favorites were his Batman City, the Wii, and his little guys! Mommy's favorites were his pirate look and find book, his Disney cars, his build a bear Woody outfit, and his tech deck skate ramp.

Taylor's favorites were the Wii, his snowboard, and pokemon cards! Mom's fav was his "I love you Stinky Face" book, it's the cutest book EVER!!! His volcanoe kit, and his face painting book.
I like to document what the kids get each year just so they can actually see that they are very spoiled kids. So when they are crying that they don't get what they want, I can say, "um, do you remember Christmas this year?" Hee Hee. We sure do love this time of year!

Merry Christmas!!!!

The kids were so excited to set out cookies and milk for Santa! Look what Santa left behind (the Santa potatoe head)! Pretty cute!

Wow, look what Santa brought!

The stockings have been filled.
This Christmas was GREAT, my kids faces said it all!!! From the second they woke up, besides Mya who we had to drag out of bed, but eventually warmed up, they had nothing but smiles on their faces. I am so grateful for this time of year, for the time we get to spend with family and the happiness that is all around. I love more than anything that my kids get so excited, that they talk about Christmas morning all month, and that when it does happen, they are more than thrilled. This year was a good year at the Murphy's, I am grateful for both me and Jake's work and that we are able to give our kids a nice Christmas. I am grateful for my Savior and ALL that He does for me!

Taylor had just opened the Wii, he was SOOOOO happy!

Dallin was SOOOO excited for his Batman City!

Dallin got the game "Who am I" from Quinci. We played it several times last night, everyone loved it.

Awwwww, don't they look cute?

Even Shane and Ange got into it. This game is really fun with kids!

All the boys playing the Wii! Tay, Jace, Dallin, and Dax!

After everyone left, we stayed up until 11:30 playing the Wii. I love that the kids love it!

Our little Mexican Fiesta

This was the cutest, all the little ones put on a little play of the Birth of our Savior. It was precious to see them all act so reverent and portray such an AMAZING event. Good job guys.
This year was really fun for our Mexican Fiesta. It seemed like there weren't as many people as usual, but it seems like everyone had a good time, especially the kids. We all ate yummy tamales, watched the nativity play, opened presents, sang songs, played our adult present game, had a pinata, and some even danced. It usually goes a little later than it did, but the snow had a different idea this year. We wanted everyone to be safe so they left around 10:30, I'm telling you this usually goes until midnight or later some years. We sure do love having this at our house and sharing such a wonderful tradition with everyone.

Jaden is the narrator, Quinci is Mary, and Taylor was Joseph, it was adorable!

Here is Mya as a little Angel, it was so cute, she brought baby Jesus to Mary, AWWW!

Dallin was the cute little wiseman, this is him bringing his gift.

Our little Christmas wreath with the Mexican Flag, Jake's idea!

I have to get a family pic by the tree!

Mya just loves her "Ma"

Mom, Me, Mya, and Grandma

Look at all these people, and that's not everyone! We sure do love doing this every year, it just wouldn't be Christmas without our Mexican Fiesta!

Tay opening his Pokemon cards, he was thrilled.

We played a different game this year with the presents, no stealing so there were no fights that broke out, hee hee!

My "mom's" and my Grandma! Grandma sure does love coming to this, she is 91 years old and dances every time, what a hoot.

Jammies and Slippers

So I decided this year that I would start a tradition of opening their jammies and slippers not on Christmas Eve, but the night before Christmas Eve. I came to this decision because of how late we end up doing our little Christmas Eve fiesta and there just isn't time to enjoy this moment when the kids are so dang tired. So we had our little festivities last night. And to my sweet surprise the kids were excited, I didn't really think they would be just getting jammies, but they were, it was cute. So here they are before as rag a muffins, then after all bathed and in their new jams.

Opening, I love how excited Dallin is, so so cute!

Tamales, Tamales, Tamales

This was my first time helping make tamales, and from everyone there, I didn't do too bad.
Every year for Christmas Eve we have a BIG mexican fiesta that is so much fun, and I mean BIG, there are about 60 to 70 people that come to our house. My sweet mom in law makes the yummiest tamales EVER and this year I thought that I would actually try and help, although I didn't do that much, I learned a lot. Can't wait to get my fill tomorrow night. Thanks for the lesson July.

Korine and Ezella working away.
