Fat Cats!

He just loves to go bowling!

Ready to bowl!

Jake went to the BYU game yesterday with his friend Clint (thanks Clint), so we decided after me and the kids would meet him at Fat Cats and grab some dinner and bowl our little hearts out. The kids loved it! Dallin seriously has some natural talent, is there such a thing with bowling? I would have to say I was only behind Jake by 6 points, not too bad for a total score of 134. Already this morning Taylor keeps asking, "Mom, when can we go bowling again?" I'm glad the kids had a good time.

Look at his excitement!

Woo Hoo

This is the only picture Jake would let me take of him, he really gets annoyed with all the picture taking, sad for me!

Cutie pie!

Sheesh, I'm such a poser, kind of embarrassing!

Strike!

Of course we had to get a picture of Mya out by the balls!

Our little getaway!

The gang! Angi, Matt, Jake, me, Jen, and Ben

This last weekend was such a blast for me and Jake. We went with our friends river rafting up in Wyoming on the Snake River! We both have never done that and I would have to say that it's something we now just LOVE. It was the first time that we left the kids and I love that I can say that they did so good, even little Mya. Thanks to all our family especially Aunt Ange, mom, and Aunt Koriney, they all had a blast.

Our first day down the river was really fun, but REALLY cold. All of us had teeth chattering for most of the ride, but it was good to kind of know what to expect. The next day was AMAZING!!! It was absolutely beautiful, warm, and we had such a good time riding the river. Me, Jake, and Angi even rode bull (that's the front of the raft) through Big Kahuna, which was the craziest rapid of the whole river. We swam through mile pass, which was really fun! The only scary part of the trip was when Ben, Jake, and Angi (I was seconds from going but Jake tells us he had a strong feeling to tell me not to go so he shouted "don't go!!!", so I turned around.) they went swimming through some crazy rapids called Lunch Counter. Jake and Angi honestly said it was the scariest thing they have ever done and Angi even says that for a split second, she thought this was the end. They both got caught in the rapids and an undertow was pulling them down as the waves were crashing over them. It was really SCARY and I just have to say that I am so thankful that everyone is ok. We said some serious thank you prayers that night. We just learned that river rafting is for the raft, not to swim in, so when you're doing it the right way, it's AWESOME!

After we would ride the river, we all would go into Jackson and eat dinner and mess around then come back and hang out by the fire talking until 2:00 in the morning most nights. We had the best time ever and loved the friends that we were with. Of course we knew we'd have fun with Matt and Angi, but we have never really hung out with Jen and Ben and they were the coolest. Thanks guys, can't wait to go again next year.

Yee Ha

There is a website called Float-o-graphs.com and they took the greatest pictures of us riding through Big Kahuna, crazy ones with rapids all over. I tried to copy them to my post, but it didn't work. I am going to buy them and then scan so you can see how CRAZY this part of the river is, but WAY fun. Woo hoo for river rafting.

My little Kindergartener!

My big boy!

I have to admit I was little emotional this morning as me and Jake took Dallin to his first day of kindergarten. For some reason Dallin is just our "little" Dallin and I can't believe he is old enough to go to school. It seems like just yesterday that Dallin was my little boy who would ball his head off if he didn't get to wear his Superman t-shirt every single day and would literally sit and cry the whole wash and dry cycle standing by the washing machine as I tried to at least clean it once a week.

I sure do love this little boy and am so proud of him and Taylor. Good Luck my sweet little guys!

Still Friends!

I just wanted to do a little tribute to my parents who would have been married this Saturday, August 23rd, for 50 years. I have to say that my parents have come along way and more than anything it makes me SO happy that they are still friends after having been divorced for almost 20 years. I look up to both my parents for many many things, mostly their strength and courage, but I want them to know how grateful I am for the amazing relationship that we have. Not only are they my mom and dad, but they are also my friends.

They both have been through many trials and have come through with flying colors. Although I wish that I could be writing about celebrating their 50 years together, I do have to say that I am happy that they can "be" together still. Thanks mom and dad for everything that you do for me and my little family. I love you both with all my heart and more than anything want you happy. You mean everything to us.

A night out with my boyfriend!

Cutie pie, Jack Johnson!

Look at my boyfriend Jack, isn't he just adorable and AMAZING, honestly there is just something about when he sings that just makes life a little better. Love that guy!

So aside from the car over heating on our way up to the concert and all of us melting with the heater blasting, me tripping in front of a million people and getting a serious cut on my leg, and pretty much me and Jake looking way tough in our minivan (NOT) almost getting in a fight with a 17 year old girl who wouldn't let us get in the line to get out of the parking lot, this concert was one of my absolute favs. It wouldn't matter what kind of situations we would have to brave to see Jack, I would do it over again, (in Jake's words "I will never do this again" as we waited 1 1/2 hours in the parking lot trying to get out) I assure you that we will for sure be back next year front and center. Jack is the best, he seriously just always makes you feel good no matter what mood you are in. Taylor and Dallin were a little upset that we didn't take them, because I think they almost love him as much as I do, but I promised that next year we would. What a great time we had, and I'm sure Jack would say we are his number one fans.

See the guage in the red! Yes we are over heating.

This picture really doesn't do the moment justice, but if you can imagine the heater turned on full blast, 100 degrees outside, windows that won't roll down, and the sliding door opened as we are driving down the freeway. We were all DYING of heat, but laughing our heads off.

All the girls. Me, Bek, Korine, Nicole, July, and Cami. Check out the guy above Korine's head waving at the camera, hilarious!

This is the whole gang waiting for MY boyfiend (sorry Bek) to come on stage.

Jer was hilarious dancing!

First Day of School

My big 1st grader!

Today was Taylor's first day of school. He is starting the first grade with Ms. Allen. He says that he is very excited to be able to eat lunch in the cafeteria and that he will be able to go to recess at the big playground. Both Tay and Dallin met their teachers on Friday and even got to meet the school Mascot. He was quite the hit with all the kids. Dallin will be starting kindergarten next Monday and is so so so excited. I can't believe that both my boys are in school, wow where does the time go? I am a very proud Momma today!

Boondocks!

The boys LOVED the boats, in fact, they loved getting me all wet, stinkers!

So we decided that since school is going to start next week we would take the kids to go do something of their choice. Well, Taylor kind of got his way, but Dallin soon remembered that Boondocks is one awesome place. We had a good time and the boys were in heaven. In fact Taylor is already planning his next birthday party there, which isn't for like 4 more months. Even little Mya had fun trying to do all the things the big boys were doing. It was a good time and after we went and got ice-cream at Smart Cookie, (anyone heard of it?) Honestly it is amazing. You build your own ice-cream sandwiches out of there delicious cookies. Yum yum. We had a really fun day with our little fam.

Go Taylor Go!

Cheeze!

Mya even got in on some of the action!

Wee Ha. Dallin seriously spent almost 30 minutes on this swing thing, he couln't get enough!

Dallin couldn't wait to go FAST!
