24th of July

My boys were THRILLED this year to be able to set off some of their own fireworks so of course I had to take a few pics of the craziness!

Goofballs

SUNDAY night: The actual 24th of July - We had a little BBQ and then of course the kiddos were ecstatic to set off the fireworks we got.

Getting all the fireworks ready to light!

Let me guess.......Wilson is afraid of the fireworks?? Ha Ha

Lukey and Mya hanging out with each other!

This was Wilson most of the night, hiding his eyes because of course my SCAREDY CAT was afraid of them! Sweet thing!

Now Wils has warmed up to the fireworks and is excited to see them......seriously at the very end! Ha Ha

and we still have more!

All of us watching the festivities.

FOAM DAY

Lehi has this event called "FOAM DAY" where they spray tons and tons of foam from a fire engine and the kids (and some adults) go berserk playing in it. It's actually quite comical to watch, the only problem is there are a bazillion people so it's quite chaotic, but still fun! The kids were laughing so hard at all the madness!

This is Dallin's famous "King of the World" pose:)

I love this pic of all the FOAM madness!

Here's our little SCAREDY cat......seriously what kid would be afraid of FOAM?? It's FOAM Wils, seriously it's not going to bite ya:)

RRRRRRGGH

Of course what would a HOT summer day be without some yummy watermelon, and the best part was it was FREE!!! Slice after Slice, as much as you wanted, of course you had to wait in line, but my kids didn't mind:)

Dallin and Ana hanging out!

Mya LOVES her watermelon!

Are you kidding me??? Look at this mess, Dallin was devouring every little morsel of this piece, hilarious!

And even more WATERMELON.....seriously I think he ate like 3 pieces:)

Epi Do's and Don'ts

Look how cute this pic is of most of the grandkids, LOVE IT!
So the other night Meema had all the bigger grand kids sleep over at her house, of course my kids were ecstatic to be with their cousins and their favorite Meema! Here's a pic of them as the night was starting.

The next day I brought Wils over, Korine brought Jovie, and Bek brought Lucy so we could all go swimming. Before we headed out the door to go swimming most of us were hanging out in the living room except for Dallin who was in the toy room. All of the sudden I hear this blood curdling scream from the toy room and immediately jumped up to see what was wrong. When I walked in I saw Dallin sitting there with a bunch of blood on his thumb, my first thought was he has seriously cut his finger almost off with the way he was screaming, so I checked it out and it didn't look too bad. I told him to come wash it off so we could see what was going on. After we washed it off and all I could see was a puncture wound I kept looking at it thinking why in the world is he freaking out so bad?

In between screams of pain I asked if he was bitten by a spider or something. He said no and in the mean time his thumb was beginning to swell like crazy and turn completely white and tight. At this point I was beginning to get a little worried because I didn't know what was going on. Well through crying and lots of screaming Dallin told me he picked up "that marker" which in actuality was Jaden's (my niece who is deathly allergic to nuts) Epi Pen that she carries with her everywhere she goes. He picked it up to check it out. The poor thing has never been educated on the Epi Pens, I blame myself for that, and was curious about this "strange looking marker!" Which it actually does look like a marker. So in all the panic we called the Dr., my friend a PA, Korine was looking up on her phone what to do with accidentally Epi Pen injections and came to the conclusion that it was not life threatening, but that Dallin needed to be watched for a couple of hours. His heart rate did increase which they said it would, and the swelling, pain, and bruising seemed to increase as time went on. We gave him some ibuprofen and let him rest a bit and as soon as he took a little 30 minute nap he woke up saying he felt fine, WHEWWWWWWWW!!!! Music to a moms ears because let me tell you when your child is screaming in pain and there's nothing at that moment that is taking it away, it completely BREAKS MY HEART!!!!

So after a bit Koriney talked to all the kiddos and educated on the Do's and Don't of Epi Pens, which was very educational for them all. Thanks Korine!

Poor little Dally Goo!

Here's his thumb a few days later:(

My BIRTHWEEK

Okay, I'll be the first to admit that I LOVE birthday's, not so much the getting older part, but the celebrating part:) I love any reason to get together with family and friends. I know I always say this, but it's so very very true, I have the most amazing family and friends and truly feel so blessed. Thank you everyone for making my birth week so special, I completely feel LOVED!!!

SUNDAY NIGHT: July made me my favorite Mexican food and Bek made a delicious cake and we all hung out. I didn't have my camera, surprise surprise I know or else I would have had a pic of us all:(

MONDAY:

Here's my Wilsy boy on momma's birthday-week!

Me and my "sis" Kristen. When we were on our cruise everyone thought that we were sisters for not only looking alike but for acting alike. I took this as a HUGE compliment because she is beautiful inside and out.....sure love this "sis" of mine.

Here's my sweet friends who took me to dinner, oh how I love these girls!
Me, Haylee, Ginger, Becky, Angie, and Kristen

A chocolate shake for the birthday girl!

TUESDAY JULY 19th: Actual birthday- and yes I am wearing the same shirt, ha ha!
In the morning I found this darling crossword puzzle that Tay and Dallin did, 36 words that describe mom from Camping and Scrapbooking, Facebook and blog, to Beautiful and Sweet. Each word representing what they thought of me, seriously my heart melted when I saw it. These truly are my very favorite gifts ever!

In the afternoon I decided to take the kiddos to the movie Kung Fu Panda, yay it was playing at the cheaper better theatre so it was a win win for us all. We had a great time. Zoe and Ellie tagged along too, I pretty much consider them my own and love them as my own so it was great to have them there. Ange even came to hang out, even with all the planning and preparing she was doing for that night, awww....so nice.

Me and my babes's!

Here's the kiddos watching the movie, my fav is Wils sitting there like a big boy eating his popcorn.

So Tuesday night my AMAZING Ange put together a little picnic at the park with our fam. It was so much fun and relaxing. We had Hawaiian Haystacks and my favorite desserts, OREO truffles, OREO cupcakes, and home-made vanilla ice-cream of course with OREO's! Seriously can it get any better! Thank you to my fam for taking time out of their day to help make mine so special, it means more than you will ever know.

Me and mom and dad!

My VERY BEST SWEETEST MOST SELFLESS SISTERS EVER!!!! I LOVE them with all my heart!

My fav......OREO cupcakes and OREO truffles! Seriously can Ange get any sweeter, first to think of doing this, and 2nd to make my favorites!!!

So apparently in this picture Jake is arranging the babysitters for our little date night that will be the next day. I had no idea what he was doing, did I mention I LOVE surprises!!

Here's the kids playing!

Wow, really, how AMAZING is this sunset with my sweetie:)

I'm dying at how cute this picture is, Ellie and Dallin chillin together watching the sunset! BFF's

Wednesday:
So Wednesday night Jake surprised me with a night out (babysitters all arranged, oh my gosh that in and of itself is the best!!!) We went to the "Cheesecake Factory" (YUMMY) and then to an outdoor film at Red Butte Gardens that was playing a Sundance Film for free I might add, woo hoo! We brought our lawn chairs and our cheesecake and just chilled there talking until the movie started then watched the movie. It was SOOOOOOOOOOO much fun, reminded me of being in high school going to concerts and just hanging out, neither of us chasing kids. It was truly PERFECT!

We saw a Sundance Film called "The Music Never Stopped", it was GREAT!! Total Hippie movie with lots of GRATEFUL DEAD which is right up Jake's alley, we had a blast!

Have I ever mentioned how much I love my Jakey?? He is my EVERYTHING!!!!

So I still get to go out with Myken this week, woo hoo and Jenny the next, so I guess you can say that the birth week is continuing on. Lucky me right???
