Parade Time

One of my favorite things in the summer is going to the parades. The last week we were able to go to the Strawberry Days parade and yesterday went to the Lehi Days parade. I would have to say that I like the Lehi one WAAAAYYY better because of the darling ward floats, they absolutely make the parade.

Ahoy, it's a Pirate Party!

Quite awhile back Dallin decided he wanted to have a PIRATE party for his birthday and boy did we have lot's of fun! This pirate party was filled with a treasure chest pinata, a treasure hunt to find the kids treasures to take home, lunch, swimming, and lot's and lot's of fun!! And the cake.......holy cow......wait until you see it! All I can say is....................AMAZING!!!!!

Thanks to all our friends and family who made this day such a special day for our Dally Goo! More than anything I love this little boy and the joy and smiles he brings to us EVERY single day! Happy 7th buddy!

His first tooth is finally OUT!

Dallin has been asking for quite some time when he is going to lose a tooth! To be honest, it seems like he's kind of old for it to be his first, 3 days shy of turning 7, but it's FINALLY out! He went several days of not being able to eat very good because it was so wiggly, but at last we got it! :)

Uncle Shane tried to pull Dallins tooth out the other day. With no luck we decided to wait a couple of days!


So dad is going to give it a try!

He's just as proud as ever and couldn't wait to write a note to the tooth fairy. See a few years ago our sweet little niece told my boys that if you write a note to the tooth fairy, anything you say under $50.00 you will get, um......WOW! So when Tay wrote his for $12.00 we surely didn't want to disappoint, stupid I know, but I guess that will be a Murphy tradition that for your first tooth you get $12.00. What the???? All teeth after are seriously going for a quarter to make up for that first one I guess! Hee Hee

Hiking Timp

The fam!

So we decided to go with our friends the Barnes and hike to Timp cave! I was a little nervous at how the weather has been lately, but it actually wasn't too bad, a little cool, but luckily no rain! It was AWESOME and the kids did great! I love more than anything that they LOVE to hike just as much as I do. In fact with just running (well kind of) the 5K on Saturday I've come to a conclusion that hiking is my thing. I've always known that, but completely was confirmed when we were hiking Timp. I guess you could say I'm in my element, cheezy I know maybe but it's the truth.

Mya was WAY cranky on the way up, so when we got to the cave the ranger had heard her crying a little and quite rudely said, "I know there have been some cranky kids, (by the way ours were the only kids), so I will tell you that I am not going to compete with that and you will have to exit if they start to cry!" Wow lady, tell us how you really feel. Maybe she could have been a little more gentle like, I'm sorry but if your little ones cry maybe it would be best to exit just so everyone else can hear! SHEESH Ranger Bonnie! And then to top off the great ranger she was, when we got to the heart of the cave I had to ask if they still light it up with the red light, and she says, "Oh, did you want to see that?" Some poor couple behind us who had never been before said, "Yes, that is why we came!" Okay so last time I checked this was a pretty big reason people come to American Fork Canyon from all over the world, so yes Ranger Bonnie, we would like to see ALL of what the cave has to offer! We all just got a kick out of her after, but I would say we weren't that impressed. O well, the kids LOVED it so it was ALL worth it!


Look very closely and you can see, well barley, a camouflaged dragonfly. Taylors keen eyes totally spotted it. See if you can find it!
